During lunch time, students are expected to remain in the same area after eating lunch and cleaning up. Students are not permitted to leave and move to another side of the cafeteria or the fireplace commons.

If you have not already completed the CV9 Club registration form  please do so by noon today.  If you do not complete the form you will be placed in a club.  The list of clubs and the registration form is listed below.  Some of the clubs are full and have been removed from the registration form. The clubs will meet on Wednesday's, during period 9, opposite of Freshman seminar.  You will be notified on September 28 of your club and room location. Clubs will start on October 5.

Beginning tomorrow, all Eagle Academy classes will follow the same procedures as other class periods regarding cell phones.  Eagle Academy is a time for students to complete homework, study or meet with teachers.  Therefore, students will not be permitted to use cell phones during Eagle academy and the classroom will be quiet to allow students the opportunity to complete work.  This is your opportunity to complete work, study, and get help.  The midpoint of MP 1 is October 3.


Attention Special Interest students.  Please check your schedule on Skyward so that you report to your assigned special interest class during period 9.  You are required to attend the class that is listed on your schedule.


The google form to register for CV9 Clubs will open today at 2:10 p.m.  Please be sure to complete the form as all students are required to submit the form.  The form will close this Sunday, September 25 at 11:59 p.m.

Welcome all cultural enthusiasts! If you enjoy learning about the French language and culture then make sure to join CV’s French Club. The French club will be hosting its first meeting on Thursday, September 22 in Madame Grim's room, high school room # 230. If interested, make sure to join our Schoology group with the code that was posted yesterday on Schoology.  A French club representative will greet CV9 students at the CVHS bus loop and show you to the classroom!

Are you interested in coding, computer science, or any other STEM field? CV's Girls Who Code club is holding an Interest Meeting on Zoom for any female student in Grades 6 through 12. The Interest Meeting is this Wednesday, September 21st, between 5:30-6:00 PM. Future meetings will be held every other Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 on Zoom. See yesterday’s Schoology post for more information.


“Interested in working towards a cleaner Earth? Or perhaps just looking for service hours? Club Green is the perfect place for both! Our first meeting is on Wednesday September 21st, right after school until 4:00 in room 100 at the high school. Today is the final day for vision screening.  If you have not been screened, you will be screened during your science classes today.  


Are you interested in coding, computer science, or any other STEM field? CV's Girls Who Code club is holding an Interest Meeting on Zoom for any female student in Grades 6 through 12. The Interest Meeting is this Wednesday, September 21st, between 5:30-6:00 PM. Future meetings will be held every other Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 on Zoom.

CV Mini-THON will be selling shirts for the Gold Out Tailgate beginning today during ninth period in the main lobby. Each shirt costs $10 and is perfect for our Gold Out spirit day during school on the 16th.  There is a limited amount of t-shirts available so please plan accordingly. Sales will continue through Friday unless they are sold out!

Please be sure you are checking Schoology each day as CVHS clubs are beginning to announce when club meeting dates.

Reminder, if you are interested in in participating in CVTV at CV9, be sure to submit the CVTV Interest Form posted on Schoology by this Friday, September 16th.

 A reminder that picture day is today. All students will get their picture taken regardless of whether or not you are purchasing pictures.  These pictures will be used to generate student ID cards. Students will have their picture taken during study hall or PE.  If you do not have study hall or PE, you will get your picture taken during lunch.  Height and weight will also be completed.

Tonight is Back to School Night for parents/guardians to meet your teachers.  It begins at 6:00 p.m. with parents/guardians reporting to period 1 and they will follow your Wednesday schedule.

A reminder that picture day is tomorrow, Friday, September 9.  All students will get their picture taken regardless of whether or not you are purchasing pictures.  These pictures will be used to generate student ID cards. Message posted on Schoology 9/1/22: Attention Girl Softball players: Every Tuesday & Thursday starting Tuesday, September 6th, weather permitting, the CVHS Softball coaches will be at the softball field for OPEN FIELD from 6:00-7:30pm to help players with the fundamentals of softball. Any 9th through 12th grade player is welcome. If you are playing a fall sport for the CV High School, you will not be able to attend. Good morning students. We are happy that you are here and welcome you to first day of school.  This is an exciting time.  Your high school journey begins today.  We know that many of you are anxious and filled with mixed emotions.  Please know, that our entire CV9 staff is here to support and care for you during this journey.  


Our new CVHS principal, Dr. Rawls,  will be joining us this afternoon.  Many of you had opportunity met him during student/parent orientation.  Dr. Rawls will be greeting many of you in hallways and during lunch periods today.  Be sure to say hello.


During period 9 Eagle Academy resource time, your teachers will be focusing on a District initiative called Portrait of an Eagle.  This is something you will learn more about this year and throughout your time in high school.  Portrait of an Eagle is a framework that focuses on seven essential competencies all Cumberland Valley students will master by graduation. 


This school year, we begin this important initiative with the introduction of Unit Zero: Responsibility. Your Eagle Academy teacher will focus on what it means to be responsible, respectful, and safe in our school community. 


Other important announcements


Be sure you know your bus number and your bus’s lane location before school ends today.  If you are unsure, your teachers can help you.  Location of buses are posted on the walls and lockers throughout the school.  At dismissal time, you will report directly to your bus.


Prior to the end of period 4, there will be an announcement providing information regarding lunch procedures.


The library will be closed for the next two weeks.  More information will be shared in the future regarding library procedures.



During period 1 today, you will be receiving a new laptop/charger, a temproary ID, and Student Picture information.  Please take care of your new laptop/charger.  Newly enrolled students will receive a temporary ID ASAP.  Student Picture Day for CV9 will be next Friday,  September 9.  


Attention students that have PE today.  If you have class with Mrs. Rupp, please report to room 200A.  If you have class with Mr. Blacksmith, please report to the gym.


Reminder to students who are members of a CVHS fall athletic team,  you have been assigned to a CV9 Activity bus that will transport you to the high school for practices and home games.  The CV9 Activity buses are located at the entrance to the gym and park alongside the curb.
