Who should apply for a Work Permit?

Students ages 14 to 17 are required to have a work permit in order to obtain employment in the state of Pennsylvania. Schools are the primary agency that supplies work permits to students.


Work Permit Process

To obtain a work permit, a student must provide a valid proof of age and an application (completed by a parent or guardian). Applications may be printed from the CV Website (search under -High School- work permits).CV9 students may pick up the application in the Main Office or print from the CV Website.  Email the completed application and proof of age to [email protected]. CV9 students can bring the completed paperwork to the Main Office to receive the work permit.  Once paper work has been received the work permit will be mailed to the address provided.


Acceptable proof of age includes:

Birth certificate

Military ID

Passport/Passport card

Baptismal Certificate

Driver's License/Learner's Permit
