Freshmen Seminar

Course Description

This required course for all incoming freshman is designed to focus on preparing students for a successful transition to high school through a series of lessons focusing on topics such as: organization, time management, study/note taking skills and social/emotional learning.  All study skills will be reinforced in all courses so students have the opportunity to transfer the skills learned in the Freshman Seminar course to their other classes and throughout their high school experience and beyond.  Students will earn .25 credits for successful completion of this course.

Course Overview

Students will meet weekly with an assigned advisory group and teacher. Lessons are focused on executive functioning skills and social and emotional learning.
